Bluebird Solar has announced the appointment of renewable energy industry veteran Rohit Tikku as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a significant step in the company’s ambitious expansion plans across solar manufacturing, EPC services, and energy storage solutions.

With this appointment, the company is gearing up for what it calls its “Bluebird Solar 2.0” vision — a strategic growth phase focused on strengthening its position in India’s rapidly evolving clean energy sector.

Rohit Tikku brings more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and has held leadership positions at some of the sector’s leading organizations, including Inox Solar, Vikram Solar, ReNew, Reliance Industries Limited, and Trina Solar. At Bluebird Solar, Tikku will lead the company’s plans to establish a 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility while further expanding its existing module manufacturing operations. The company also plans to strengthen and scale its EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) business, enter the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment, and deepen its reach across channel partners, EPC associates, and institutional project businesses.

“We are delighted to welcome Rohit Tikku to the Bluebird Solar family. His deep industry understanding, strategic vision, and extensive experience in solar manufacturing and business expansion make him the ideal leader for our next phase of growth. As we move towards integrated solar manufacturing, EPC expansion, and energy storage solutions, we believe his leadership will help us accelerate our vision and create a stronger impact in India’s renewable energy journey.”

Backed by over 40 years of legacy in the power and energy sector, Bluebird Solar’s solar manufacturing operations have steadily expanded across India. The company currently operates a fully automated 2.5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Greater Noida.

The company manufactures high-efficiency Mono PERC and advanced n-type TOPCon solar modules ranging from 500 Wp to 630 Wp across both DCR and non-DCR categories, catering to utility-scale, commercial, industrial, and rooftop solar projects across India.

With Rohit Tikku taking charge as CEO, Bluebird Solar is expected to sharpen its focus on backward integration, technology advancement, and clean energy innovation as it strengthens its position in the Indian solar market.
