An another significant milestone for India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem, Bluebird Solar, a leading Indian solar PV module manufacturer, has secured a 278 MW solar module supply order from Bridge & Roof Company (India) Limited for two major renewable energy projects being developed for SJVN (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited) in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
Under the order, Bluebird Solar will supply high-efficiency 600 Wp M10R N-Type TOPCon Dual Glass Bifacial Solar PV Modules for SJVN's projects at Khavda, Gujarat (133 MW) and Nawa, Rajasthan (145 MW).
The order represents a major addition to Bluebird Solar's growing portfolio of utility-scale solar projects and reinforces the company's capabilities in supplying advanced, high-performance solar panels for large renewable energy developments.
278 MW Order Strengthens Bluebird Solar's Utility-Scale Presence
The 278 MW order covers two strategically important locations in India's renewable energy landscape.
- Khavda, Gujarat – 133 MW
- Nawa, Rajasthan – 145 MW
- Total module supply – 278 MW
- Module technology – 600 Wp M10R N-Type TOPCon
- Module configuration – Dual Glass Bifacial
Both Gujarat and Rajasthan have emerged as key hubs for India's large-scale renewable energy expansion. SJVN itself has been significantly expanding its renewable energy portfolio. Its renewable-energy arm, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), is responsible for developing solar, wind, hybrid and energy-storage projects and currently has projects operational, under construction and in pre-construction stages.
SJVN has also been actively developing major solar assets in both states, including its Khavda Solar Power Project in Gujarat and Nawa Solar Power Project in Rajasthan.
Advanced TOPCon Technology for Large-Scale Solar Projects
At the heart of this order are 600 Wp M10R N-Type TOPCon Dual Glass Bifacial Solar PV Modules , representing the industry's continued shift towards higher-efficiency module technologies.
TOPCon technology enables higher power output and improved energy-generation potential, while bifacial modules can capture additional irradiance from the rear side of the module. The dual-glass construction is also designed to provide enhanced durability for demanding utility-scale applications.
For large solar projects, module selection plays a critical role in achieving long-term energy-generation targets. High-efficiency solar panels can help optimise land utilisation while supporting greater power generation from a given project footprint.
A Strong Vote of Confidence in Indian Solar Manufacturing
The order from Bridge & Roof Company (India) Limited further demonstrates the growing confidence of leading infrastructure and EPC organisations in India's domestic solar manufacturing capabilities.
For Bluebird Solar, this is more than another supply order. It reflects the company's ability to deliver advanced solar panels at the scale, quality and consistency required for India's rapidly expanding utility-scale renewable energy sector.
“We are delighted to secure this prestigious order from Bridge & Roof Company Ltd. for the SJVN project. This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, technological innovation, and reliable project execution. As India continues to accelerate its renewable energy transition, Bluebird Solar remains committed to delivering high-performance solar PV modules that enable large-scale clean energy generation while supporting the Government of India's vision for energy security and sustainability.”
— Rohit Tikku, Chief Executive Officer, Bluebird Solar
“This order is another significant milestone in Bluebird Solar's growth journey and demonstrates the trust that India's leading infrastructure and renewable energy organizations place in our manufacturing capabilities. We will continue investing in advanced technologies and expanding our integrated manufacturing ecosystem to support India's ambition of becoming a global renewable energy manufacturing hub.”
